The Bowdoin International Music Festival is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a birthday party on Saturday, July 20th at the Brunswick Town Mall. The event will feature a Community Concert, an Instrument Petting Zoo, sweet treats provided by Gelato Fiasco and Wild Oats Cupcakes, and free tote bags for attendees. Festival Young Artists will perform pieces such as Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and the “Bach Double” Violin Concerto.
The Instrument Petting Zoo will give children and adults the opportunity to try out violins, violas, and cellos provided by Frost Gully Violins. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and join in the celebrations with family and friends.
The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. and is part of a series of events held throughout the season by the Bowdoin International Music Festival.
