UCLA track and field legend Seilala Sua has been selected for induction into the Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame for track & field and cross country. The ceremony for the class of 2023 will take place in September in Eugene, Oregon. Sua was a standout athlete at UCLA, winning seven NCAA championships and earning 14 All-American honors in multiple throwing events. She also achieved success in Pac-10 and NCAA competitions, winning multiple titles and awards. As a professional athlete, Sua continued her success by being a member of the 2000 Olympic Team and achieving national and international recognition in discus and shot put. The Class of 2023 also includes other notable athletes like Joetta Clark, Sonia O’Sullivan, and Edwin Moses. This class of inductees showcases excellence in collegiate track and field and cross country, highlighting the achievements of these exceptional athletes during their time as collegiate competitors.
