Having led Nokomis Regional High to a state championship as a freshman and earning the title of 2022 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year, Flagg is known for his exceptional talent on the court. Currently attending Florida’s Montverde Academy, he led his team to an undefeated season and the number one ranking in the country. Flagg, standing at 6 feet 9 inches, is ESPN’s top high school basketball prospect and will be heading to Duke University in the fall. He is projected to be the potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, making him a highly sought-after player in the basketball world.

The Naismith Award, named after basketball inventor James Naismith, was presented to Flagg alongside Sarah Strong of North Carolina. Eric Oberman, president of the Atlanta Tipoff Club, praised both players for their exceptional achievements and wished them well as they continue their basketball journey at the collegiate level.
