Tatiana Bisimwa, a 28-year-old South Portland woman, drove the wrong way on Interstate 295 from Falmouth to Freeport in the early hours of Sunday morning before crashing into a construction site. The Augusta Regional Communications Center received multiple calls reporting the incident around 3:40 a.m. Bisimwa was driving northbound on the southbound side of the interstate until she ended up between concrete construction barriers at mile 22 in Freeport. She was issued a criminal summons for driving to endanger and released. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and the vehicle, a 2012 Ford Fusion, was towed from the scene. The Maine Department of Safety spokesperson, Shannon Moss, stated that an adverse driving report will be submitted to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
