The Bugs, who finished second in the regular season with a 17-6 record, showed their resilience as Scarborough native Nic Frink’s three-run homer in the eighth inning highlighted a crucial four-run rally. The Babes had initially taken the lead with a three-run rally in the third inning, but the Bugs tightened their defense and shut out the Babes for the rest of the game.
The championship-deciding game will take place at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Bangor, the league’s regular season champion with a 14-4 record, will look to bounce back and secure the title.
