The Waterville Elks Lodge #905 will be hosting the fifth annual Tools to Thrive Backpack School Supply Drive-Thru event on August 18th from 1-3 p.m. A total of 700 backpacks filled with school supplies will be given away to students in grades K-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult to choose their preferred backpack, and the event will also offer single haircuts, snacks, and games.
The mission of Tools to Thrive is to provide free backpacks and school supplies to students in need, regardless of their family’s income or background. The goal is to ensure that every child has access to the tools necessary for academic success and confidence in their education. The event aims to level the playing field for all students and give them the opportunity to thrive in school.
For more information about the event, individuals can contact the organizers at 207-509-5448 or via email at kkggrenier@gmail.com. By participating in the Tools to Thrive Backpack School Supply Drive-Thru, the community can support public education and help students in need succeed academically.
