Boston Red Sox catcher Danny Jansen made history by becoming the first player in Major League Baseball to appear for both teams in the same game. Jansen started the game for the Toronto Blue Jays in June but was traded to the Red Sox in July. When the game resumed after a rain delay, Jansen played for Boston in the second inning, making him the only player to feature on both sides of the box score.
