Melbourne Storm Victorious Against Sualauvi Faalogo at Suncorp Stadium, Round 27 of NRL Season 2023

Sualauvi Faalogo, a young player from Samoa, made an impressive debut for the Melbourne Storm in their match against the Brisbane Broncos. Faalogo wasted no time in making an impact, scoring a try and finishing the match with two tries, two line breaks, and 108 run metres. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play in the NRL, coming from a background in Samoa and junior rugby league in Melbourne.

Having progressed through the Storm’s development systems, Faalogo credited the club for giving him a chance to showcase his skills. Coach Craig Bellamy praised his performance and highlighted Faalogo’s speed and potential. Despite the competition for playing time at the back, Faalogo is eager to learn from experienced players like Ryan Papenhuyzen and is grateful for the guidance they provide.

Faalogo looks up to Papenhuyzen and has been learning from him and former player Billy Slater. He emphasized the importance of keeping his game simple and playing to his strengths. While Faalogo will have to wait for another opportunity to play due to the talented players ahead of him, he is focused on continuing to develop and contribute to the team in the future.
