Boost Foundation and Mastercard Foundation have partnered to launch the SUA ADEPAM project in Ghana, selecting 65 youth to receive training in sewing to help eradicate poverty and provide job opportunities. The project aims to empower young women and men with the skills and knowledge needed to access economic opportunities. The Executive Director of Boost Foundation, Dr. Cynthia Addae, expressed gratitude to MasterCard Foundation for their support. The project covers equipment, training fees, and a monthly allowance for the trainees. The goal is to enable young people to secure work by 2030, with a focus on young women entrepreneurs. The Project Monitoring & Evaluation Lead advised the trainees to make the most of this opportunity and train them with love and passion. Trainees are not to be used as housemaids, as they are being trained for a purpose. Monthly check-ups will be conducted to monitor progress and address any challenges the trainees may face during the 18-month training period. This initiative aims to empower young people to build successful futures and contribute positively to society.
