Coastal Auto Parts/NAPA Auto Parts, a business that originated in Ellsworth, Maine, has recently expanded its presence in Presque Isle. The company, which is a NAPA associate, moved to a new and larger building at 211 Main Street, next to Griffeth Ford Lincoln. This move was necessitated by the company’s growing business in Aroostook County.
Established in 1981 by Matthew Boles’ father and stepfather, Coastal Auto Parts now operates 30 stores throughout Maine. Over the years, they have acquired various stores and locations, with the most recent addition being the former Clukey’s Auto Parts main office and warehouse building in Presque Isle.
The new facility in Presque Isle will serve as a regional headquarters for the company’s Aroostook County locations. The company’s growth in the region is attributed to its ability to serve diverse industries beyond just automotive, including farms, logging, and construction. Coastal Auto Parts has a mix of both retail and wholesale customers, with plans to expand inventory and hire more staff at the new location.
The move to the new building, previously occupied by Dave’s World, a Maine heat pump business, has been well-received by the community and customers. The new location provides more space for inventory and a better layout for both staff and customers. With plans to further grow and expand their operations, Coastal Auto Parts is proving to be a key player in the automotive and industrial parts industry in Aroostook County.
