Paralympian Ezra Frech recently received a motivational message from NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, encouraging him to go win gold at the Paralympics in Paris. Frech, who won gold in the 100m sprint and men’s high jump, was ecstatic to receive the message from one of his favorite athletes. The video from Shaq helped Frech reach his Paralympic dreams, leading to his success at the games.
Frech, who was born with congenital limb differences, defied expectations and picked up two additional gold medals at the Paralympics. Despite leaving Paris to start college at the University of Southern California, Frech remains focused on training, school, and sharing his story with others. He hopes to compete again at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
In addition to his athletic achievements, Frech is set to be featured in an upcoming documentary film titled the Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution, which aims to redefine the image of disability. Frech also enjoys watching reality TV shows like Love Island USA and The Bachelor, and even has casting suggestions for future seasons. Overall, Frech’s success and positive attitude serve as an inspiration to many, showing that physical disabilities do not define a person’s abilities.
