Gwen Walz, the wife of vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, is set to visit Bangor and Portland on Friday in a bid to boost excitement for the Harris-Walz campaign ahead of the upcoming election. The campaign has organized grassroots events in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District for Walz to meet with volunteers and voters. Additionally, she will be rallying voters at an event in Portland. This visit follows the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, prompting the Harris campaign to launch a New Way Forward Tour to engage with voters in the final weeks before the election.
As part of this push, Harris and Tim Walz will be traveling across battleground states, with Harris visiting North Carolina and Pennsylvania and Tim Walz scheduled for Michigan and Wisconsin. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will also be making appearances in Nevada, Arizona, and Florida, while Gwen Walz will also be visiting Georgia and New Hampshire in addition to Maine.
