Anna Delvey, the controversial figure convicted of grand larceny, made her Dancing With the Stars debut with a unique request to be called an “ankle bracelet model” instead of a “fashionista and entrepreneur.” Delvey, who had to wear an ankle monitor for overstaying her U.S. visa during her prison sentence, performed a cha-cha with her pro partner Ezra Sosa to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.” Despite some criticism from the judges, Delvey and Sosa plan to dance a quickstep to KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See” for Oscars Night. Delvey expressed her mixed feelings about her first performance, stating that she hopes to improve moving forward. Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Delvey and Sosa are among the 13 duos still vying for the mirrorball trophy.
