CSX will be replacing four railroad crossings in Bangor next month, resulting in road closures from October 7th to 10th. The city announced that during these times, the affected roads will be completely closed, including for emergency vehicles.
The schedule for the road closures is as follows:
– May Street on October 7th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
– Front Street on October 8th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
– Railroad Street on October 9th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
– Waterworks Road on October 10th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The city also informed that detours will be in place to allow travelers access to some businesses affected by the closures. However, residents of the apartment complex on Waterworks Road will not be able to take their vehicles in and out for the day due to the construction work taking place on that road.
