Fairfield Police Department is currently searching for a mother and her 3-year-old son who have been missing since Monday. Star Cunningham, who recently moved to Fairfield from Chelsea, was last seen in Fairfield Center after an altercation with her mother. Police were called by the mother on Monday, reporting that Cunningham took her son and left towards Fairfield Center, but they have not been seen since. Cunningham had moved into her mother’s home over the weekend with her son, whose name has not been disclosed. She had planned to get a ride from a friend, but the friend experienced car trouble and was unable to pick them up. Police pinged Cunningham’s cellphone on Thursday around 10 a.m. and traced it to Sidney, but have not been able to locate her. Officer Matthew Wilcox has declined to provide further details about the friend who was supposed to give Cunningham a ride. The police department is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Star Cunningham and her son to come forward. Residents are advised to contact the Fairfield Police Department if they have any information that could help in locating the missing mother and child.
