Warner Bros. Entertainment is expanding the Big Bang Theory universe with a new spinoff series called Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. The show reintroduces viewers to characters from Young Sheldon while introducing some new faces. The Big Bang Theory, which aired from 2007 to 2019, starred a group of friends made up of scientists and their significant others.
Following the success of The Big Bang Theory, CBS ordered Young Sheldon as a prequel, which followed a young Sheldon growing up in Texas. In the final season of Young Sheldon, fans saw Sheldon’s brother Georgie marry Mandy, and the storyline continues in the new spinoff. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage premiered in October and follows the couple as they navigate marriage and parenthood while living with Mandy’s parents.
The show features familiar faces such as Georgie, Mandy, Mandy’s parents Jim and Audrey, as well as new characters like Connor and Ruben. Annie Potts reprises her role as Georgie’s grandmother, Meemaw, and Zoe Perry and Raegan Revord guest star.
The fall season also brings other exciting TV shows like Grotesquerie and The Perfect Couple. The Perfect Couple is based on a novel by Elin Hilderbrand and centers around a wedding weekend in Nantucket that doesn’t go as planned. Fans of NBC’s One Chicago franchise can also expect the return of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. in late September.
