A surprising visitor showed up at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course on Wednesday, as a bull moose casually strolled around the back nine, surprising golfers. The championship course’s head golf professional, Rob Jarvis, noted that the moose seemed calm and courteous, staying on the edges of the course and providing some entertainment for the golfers. Jarvis received a warning call from a golfer and drove around to alert others about the presence of the moose. It was observed drinking from a puddle behind the 10th green, and there were indications that a cow moose might be nearby as well. The appearance of the moose, especially during the rutting season, added an unexpected twist to the day, drawing attention and enjoyment from the golfers. This is not the first time the golf course has had moose sightings, although usually, the animals quickly leave the area when they encounter humans. Overall, the moose sighting was a fun and memorable experience for those at the golf course, adding an element of adventure to a typical fall day on the course.
