Version 3.0 Revision of Vietnam’s E-Government Architecture Framework

The Vietnam e-Government Architecture Framework version 3.0 has been revised by the Ministry of Information and Communications to align with the National Data Center Project and recent Digital Government practices in Vietnam. The key adjustment is renaming the platform in the general diagram from “Data integration and sharing” to “Data sharing and coordination.” This platform, led by the Ministry of Information and Communications, aims to integrate and share data among various government systems and databases at the centralized and distributed levels.

The framework includes the National Data Center, human data warehouse, and synthesized data warehouse from national databases. By 2024, important national databases such as population, enterprises, and insurance were completed, with nearly 3,000 shared databases across ministries, branches, and localities.

The implementation of databases and connections through the national data integration platform has seen significant growth, with 2.3 billion transactions by July 2024 and 95 connection points nationwide. These achievements demonstrate progress towards developing a digital government and nationwide digital transformation.

This continuous development of the e-Government Architecture Framework supports the digital transformation process by highlighting the role of databases and ensuring a synchronized approach from the central to local levels. The government’s efforts to strengthen data sharing and coordination aim to improve efficiency and enhance the overall digital infrastructure in Vietnam.
