Syracuse University Ambulance (SUA) is celebrating National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Week from November 9th to November 13th. The week includes various events such as tabling at the Schine Student Center to raise awareness about vitals and CPR, an Emergency Vehicle Exposition next to Hendricks Chapel, a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross, and alcohol awareness events in collaboration with the Residence Hall Association, Be Wise, and Peer Advisors. SUA will also be offering tours of its headquarters on Waverly Ave. At each event, there will be opportunities for hands-on CPR training, blood pressure screenings, and information about SUA’s services and equipment. The week aims to highlight the important role of campus-based EMS organizations in providing emergency medical care to the community. Interested individuals can contact Peg Austin to make an appointment for the blood drive or visit redcrossblood.org with the sponsor code “giveblood@SU” for more information.
