Healthy Acadia, a nonprofit organization focused on improving health and wellness in Downeast Maine, is launching its “Giving Health” campaign with the goal of raising $50,000. The campaign aims to support the organization’s mission of creating vibrant communities with accessible health resources.
Donations to the campaign will help provide support for various community health initiatives, including helping children grow up healthy, assisting older adults in aging in place, connecting families and individuals with essential resources like food and shelter, supporting recovery from substance use disorder, and lifting community members out of poverty.
Healthy Acadia is encouraging the public to contribute to the campaign by making financial donations, donating items from the organization’s wishlist, volunteering, and spreading the word about available services. Community members can attend an open house event at Healthy Acadia’s location in Ellsworth on December 5th to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved.
Supporters can also follow Healthy Acadia on social media, visit their website, or contact Shoshona for more information on how to participate. The organization emphasizes its dedication to building vibrant communities and improving health outcomes in Washington and Hancock counties.
