A pedestrian in Portland was critically injured on Wednesday evening after being hit by a car while crossing Forest Avenue. The 59-year-old man was struck by a 52-year-old driver also from Portland, according to the Portland Police Department spokesperson Brad Nadeau. The victim was rushed to Maine Medical Center where he is currently receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.
As of Thursday morning, the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed yet. Authorities have not released any additional information regarding the incident at this time.
