Chelsea Town Staff Collecting Letters for Santa

Chelsea Town Office Offers Children the Opportunity to Send Letters to Santa

This holiday season, the Chelsea Town Office is giving children in town the chance to send letters to Santa and receive a reply back from the North Pole. Spearheaded by part-time town clerk Dot Grady, this new initiative aims to bring joy to children and families while also assessing the needs of the community.

To participate, children can drop their letters in a Christmas-themed box outside the town office. If they wish to receive a reply, families are asked to provide a return envelope for Santa to find their home. Grady has enlisted the help of volunteers to ensure that each letter receives a personalized response.

In addition to the Letters to Santa program, Grady has incorporated the spirit of giving into the town with a 12 Months of Giving program. Each month focuses on a different charity or cause, encouraging community members to donate to those in need.

Grady, who recently won the Spirit of America Award for her volunteer efforts in the town, is also organizing the annual Christmas Social on December 8. The event will feature finger foods, refreshments, Christmas letter writing to veterans, carolers, and a town tree-lighting ceremony.

With the town office serving as a central hub for community events, Grady is excited to bring holiday cheer to the residents of Chelsea. Letters to Santa will be accepted from December 1 to December 14, giving children the chance to share their wishes with Santa Claus himself.
