Rescuers save Maine child’s leg trapped in snowblower


In South Berwick, rescuers successfully freed a child’s leg from a snowblower on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when the child’s leg got trapped in the snowblower’s auger. Upon arrival, the South Berwick Fire Department found the child lying on the ground in front of the snowblower. It took rescuers approximately 20 minutes to free the child from the machine.

Luckily, the child managed to escape without any major injuries and was subsequently transported to Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire for further evaluation and treatment. As of now, no additional details regarding the incident have been released.
