Dorian Pillsbury, a 12-year-old from Brewer, Maine, has been making a big impact in his community since the age of seven. What started with a fundraiser to help classmates in need has grown into the “D-Max Snack Squad,” which raises money to provide snacks for his school. Dorian’s efforts have expanded to include hosting events like apple cider stands, lemonade stands, and mini-golf tournaments to raise funds for various causes.
With the support of his mother, Lisa Liberatore, Dorian has successfully surpassed fundraising goals and made a significant impact in his community. Most recently, for his 12th birthday, Dorian collected funds to donate nearly 400 birthday cakes to local food pantries.
For his dedication to helping others, both on and off the baseball field, Dorian was recognized as a Little League Community Hero, Presented by New York Life, in February 2024. Dorian’s advice to those looking to give back is to keep trying and reaching out for support.
Dorian’s story serves as an inspiration for others to make a difference in their communities. Through his hard work and determination, he has shown that age is just a number when it comes to making a positive impact on the world.
