Roger E. Routhier, a beloved member of the Waterville community, passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 1, 1942, Roger was a dedicated family man who cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. After serving in the U.S. Army for three years, he enjoyed a fulfilling 28-year career with the Keyes Fibre Company.
Throughout his life, Roger had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and was known for his warm and friendly demeanor. Following his retirement, he devoted his time to working at the Bean School and assisting his wife with their home daycare for 35 years. Furthermore, he was a dedicated volunteer with the Sidney Fire Department and the Waterville Soup Kitchen.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jane, as well as his children Tina, Arthur, and Tammy. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren and his sister Jeannine. The community will come together to remember Roger during visitation at Veilleux Redington Lawry Funeral Home on February 25, 2025, and a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Church in Waterville on February 26, 2025.
