The Northern Maine HIV Program at the Regional Medical Center at Lubec is celebrating 23 years of providing dedicated care and support to individuals living with HIV across Northern Maine. Partnering with organizations such as Northern Light Infectious Disease Care and Health Equity Alliance, the program has ensured comprehensive care and support for those in need.
Effective immediately, RMCL will take over administration and oversight of all Ryan White Part C HIV medical case management services for residents of the Northern Maine Region. This transition reflects the program’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and improving health outcomes for those living with HIV in the region.
Director Erica Famous emphasizes the program’s dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care and strengthening the network of support for clients. The Northern Maine HIV Program remains focused on ensuring that every individual has access to a knowledgeable, integrated care team, regardless of their location or healthcare provider.
Through a decentralized network of providers, the program delivers coordinated medical care, treatment, and support services to low-income individuals living with HIV across five counties. Services are accessible at multiple locations to ensure continuity of care. Funding for the program is provided by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
For more information or to request services, individuals can submit a request form available on the RMCL website. The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program is a federally funded initiative offering medical care, support services, and medications for low-income individuals living with HIV.
