University of Maine Baseball Team Falls to UConn
Storrs, CT – In a challenging matchup, the University of Maine baseball team faced off against UConn on Thursday night, ultimately losing 4-13.
The Black Bears’ offense started promisingly with Evan Menzel driving in the first run in the second inning, hitting a double down the right field line that scored Dean O’Neill, who had walked. Aidan Bardi followed suit in the fourth inning, bringing in two more runs with an infield single that allowed Drew Reynolds to score, supplemented by a throwing error that permitted Menzel to reach home. Holt concluded the game with solid performance, striking out two batters without allowing any base runners.
